Any idea of the going rate for Czech surplus 7.62x45 for the VZ52? Not the later 7.62x39 VZ52/57.

Any info appreciated.

I've never even seen 7.62x45 in Canada in large quantities, I have like seven rounds I got from someone when they gave me a bunch of 7.62x39. The only info I have is that I see on GunBroker in the US, a guy wants $150 for 200 rounds and another wants $155 for 165 rounds or something like that. Pretty expensive surplus so there's probably not much of the stuff up there right now either. I would suggest sending Marstar an email about it. I asked them if they'd be able to get 5.45x39 surplus in, which is also not available here, and they told me that they actually have a bunch of the stuff in Europe but haven't brought it over because of the lack of demand. Maybe they'd know something about 7.62x45 as well. If they do have a source or know of a source, I'm sure they could tell you the approximate price. Good luck.

I remember a buddy buying a couple case's of that ammo. He had fun till he realized there was no more to be had. He sold the rifle and remaining ammo with it

####ty deal.
I got to fire about 5 rounds through a friends VZ52 back in Ontario a few years back. Interesting rifle and round but yeah a rifle that shoots hens teeth has zero appeal to me.
I sold my Baikal Makarov for the same reason. No ammo ever in country and if/when you can find it, it's crazy expensive.
Like John Wayne said: A gun without any bullets in it ain't much good, is it!?
