Value of full boxes of 12 gauge shotgun shells from the 1960's

The Canucks would smell good. The Selliers would be rank if they were like the old Pionka's I shot as a kid. My dad said the shells smelled like the wads were rolled horse hair. BUT they killed well and cost this country boy 1.99 for 25 at good old Canadian Tire in 1975.

Yes I to remember those $1.99 S&B shotdhells, and the wads did look like horse hair.Smelled like it to when fired.Black and red paper shells .They were a good deal as C-I-L Imperial(which were plastic by this time)cost a huge $3.33 at Canadian Tire. Most times I could not afford the Imperials, but when I could I would go home with them

Now the smell of the old Imperial and Canuck shells ,is one of the sweetest smells that I know of.Great shells to.Wish they still made them.

Yup! Killed quite a few ducks with them. And crippled and lost way too many. I remember that they were the absolute worst crap ammunition that I have ever used! I was a poor student at the time and thought they were a good buy so got a case. They burned very dirty and smelled bad! Turns out that the patterns were so spotty that I was better off paying more than twice as much for Imperials or Winchesters.
