I have recently acquired an Irish Contract No.4 MkII, degreased although still needs a thorough cleaning, new and unfired.
Bayonet still in wrapping.
All matching and in mint condition.

Any idea of its value as I am not a milsurp collector?

Thanks

$700 is too high, These are common & come up for sale all the time. There are PF & UF serial number prefixes and consecutive serials no's out there as well.

This is worth around $500 to $575, I can see $600 to $650 for an wrapped unit, But so many of these rifles were unwrapped and fired as no one had seen an new Lee Enfield in years.

I saw one at the range a year or two ago that has a rubber butt pad installed!!! Can you freaking believe it!

I just bought two at Brandon

One was unfired but the stock had been verathaned....I will be removing that and the other has been verathaned, hunted with and shot and......aaaaarggghhhh drilled and tapped for the scope mount that now supports the scope on it.

Still they make an attractive pair
