I'm wondering what the value of a P-17 Enfield that was sporterized by BSA with a Bushnell Trophy 3-9x40mm scope is? Good condition and shoots well.
Ideas?

The RIFLE itself is worth about 150 bucks. Sporterized ones aren't worth a whole lot of Dough. I just shipped one today that was in beautiful shape that I sold for 150.

It is Model of 1917, M1917 for the .30-06 version made for the U.S. Army, P-14 for the original version in .303British.

The value of a sporterised example varies. Sporterised by BSA will be worth a bit more than one in similar condition sporterised by someone unknown or unheard of, which in turn will be worth more than sporterised by Bubba. Did they just modify or replace the wooden stock, or did they chop the barrel a bit and/or mill off the "ears" that protected the rear sight? If all the metal is still there it is a candidate for restoration, which may add some value. And is it still a .30-06 or was it changed to something else?

ears are off, Im not sure if the barrel is shortened and the stock was replaced.

A thing is worth what it fetches (or whatever you turn down in favour of keeping it,) and you might find someone who wants it beyond reason or no one who really wants it. But you have a good bolt-action .30-06 hunting rifle. Considering a Stevens 200 can be expected to shoot as well for under $400 new, I think you may have to wait a long time for someone to come along who will give more than $300 for it, but someone should think themselves lucky to get it for under $200.
