I'm thinking of selling my 590A1 in the hard to find 14" barrel length. It's got a Magpul stock and GG&G sling mounts and the hi-viz follower installed.

What would you think is the value?

I'm considering trying out a Beretta 1301 instead. Thoughts on the comparison between the guns?

Conversion kits go for $450 and Shockwaves come up for around $600. I picked up my A1 a few years back at a deal of $600 and wouldn't pass it up anytime soon.

The gun I have is the A1 version so that's what I'm curious about.

I think Brobee did a useful comparo here somewhere, iirc the only difference was the trigger group housing and the safety are both metal instead of plastic. 14" Shockwaves have the heavy profile barrel.

And vs. the 1301, they're just very, very different platforms. Both are great at what they do. Price-wise, I think the 1301 is worth quite a bit more on the market.

Wow that is one sweet looking gun. Where did you get the buttstock? What brand? How about the forestock? I want to do my set uplike yours. Dan.

My 14" 590A1 is from the original shipment of them back in 2014 or 15

Back then they were offered with either an open cylinder fixed choke barrel or a modified fixed choke barrel.
I have the modified fixed choke barrel which is very rare. Keeps birdshot groups really tight and can still shoot buckshot and slugs.

This gun would be closer to the $1000 range... whereas Shockwaves or conversion kit guns would be half that.

It's a Doublestar ACE SOCOM Entry stock with Mesa Tactical adapter (can be done to 870's aswell), and the pump is a plain old Surefire model.
