Value of Mossberg

I have a fellow wanting sell to a Mossberg bolt action/clip I believe a 640 with a cheaper Bushnell Banner on it. He spray painted the entire gun and scope which I wish was original but.. Anyhow what would be a fair price to accept on the gun? The gun has no rust and cycles very nicely, quite accurate from what he says???

Even if you want to return it to original finish, take into account the work to do that. Because it is a magnum...it may be worth up to $150....as is.

Its a .22LR not a mag so I must have the model number wrong. It is a mossberg bolt w/ detach mag.

There are many different models of the 640 series. There may be a number or letter after the 640 markings. Such as 640 K , Ka and many others. the rifle being a .22 LR caliber may reduce the value slightly.

I paid $150 for my 340k. similar gun, so prolly similar value.

640 Mossbergs are all WMR's, regardless of letter designation. If this is a 22LR, then it must be a 340 series rifle. Good rifles, generally accurate, but the 600 and 300 series rifle come with lousy triggers, and no aftermarket available. The triggers can be lightened somewhat, but they are not easy to work on.
