I have a new in box AR-180B with a burris 3X9 attached that has never been shot and i was wondering what the value of this firearm is. Bought it as part of a 5 gun deal and its just sitting in the safe collecting dust.
A young fella from work seen it and wants to buy it from me but i have no idea what it is worth. Thanks

AR-180B price

Just remember that production of the rifles are not finished just on hold at Armalite due to the large demand for other Armalite products and the war on terror. What I,m saying is watch for high priced rifles lacking bling as they will be back in the future and with the high dollar to US they will likely be in the $1000 to $1100 range.Check out AR15.com:shotgun shotgun AR10T/AR180B forum for info from Armalite service and engineering on possible new production next year and a new features possible such as a sheet metal lower and others! Thanks--Candog!!:)

I saw one listed for $2100 at the gun show in Grimshaw in late September. It sold pretty quickly. I thougt it was a tad overpriced, but the dealer also had an STG44, SL8 and CZs that seemed to be priced normally.

They were only $1200 new a couple of years ago. I've seen used one's on here go for around a thousand. They are discontinued are they not? They may have been desirable for being non-restricted, but they are not a particularly well made rifle. I'd only buy a used one if Armalite would guarantee me replacement of the lower should the plastic pivot point crack.

i love mine aslong as you dont let the upper reciever drop then you should have no problems with cracking, mine shoots well (not as good as an AR-15) and its non-res so i can take it out pumpking killing :D. Only hade one jam and that was with home loads.

From what I understand, Wolverine Supplies, who is the dealer, has a box of lowers that had cracked. As was explained to me the broken lowers had originated from an defective batch and the problem has since been rectified. If you get one that does break i do believe they are replaced. But for greater detail give Wolverine a call. They are great to deal with.
AND I LOVE MY 180B

Would I need to be the original owner w. a reciept to get such coverage? Sounds too gratuitous to be true, esp considering they have stopped productionj.

they replace them no documents required...just send wolverine the lower and its taken care of

it sucks that they were prone to cracking...but i havent heard even once that it wasnt replaced asap by armalite...so to me its a non-issue

I've pumped roughly 200-300 rounds through mine without a problem, and I bought it used.

As for the price, I got mine from a fellow CGNer for $980 shipped last year, but from the trends I've seen lately, $1200-$1300 seems to be the going rate.

After being offered 700$ for the rifle and scope from the fella that wanted it ,i have decided to keep it and mod it abit for my own use. What is everyone using for a bipod on these? Mount to swivel or use a rail on the fore end? Thanks for the info guys

Good that you're keeping it...that's about $500 too little, without the scope and mount. :)

$1200 sounds about fair market value today if it is NIB.

Get the railed forend if you are going to mount the Bi-pod. Also see Armedsask's 'sticky' on the rifle. It is very informative.

Kick the work guy in the junk for an epic lowball...a ball for a ball so to speak
