I know these "what's it worth" threads are tiresome, but I am getting rid of a lot of rifles and can't seem to find comparable prices. I bought both about 15 - 20 years ago and have never taken them out of the box.
Marlin 94 Cowboy II Rifle, tapered octagon barrel, 357 Mag. I installed a set of uncle mikes QD swivels and put it back in the box. Pulled it out for the pics, turns out it is a marked "Cowboy Limited" and has a 24 inch barrel, 10 shot tube mag. This model also has checkering unlike the later ones and they were fitted with Marbles sights at the factory. According to the Marlin website it was made in 1997 and has the earlier "JM" proof, apparently quality was higher than the later ones. They were made from 1996 to 2000.
Ruger 96/44 Lever. Found out they are not made anymore. Still in box, I bought two spare mags for it and put on some QD swivels too. Looked up the serial number on the Ruger site, it was made in 1997.
Thanks for the help.
