Hi guys,
I have about 400 once fired 30-06 spfd shells and I’m curious about value.
Looking to sell them but I’m not sure on a price point.
Anyone here give me an idea of fair value.

Higginson Powders in Ontario sells it for $14.00 for 50 cases. Plus shipping.
It seems to me that most sellers on the EE want the same or a bit more.
Check the EE under gunsmithing supplies and reloading components.

Higginson also has NOS Swede 3006 for $20/50 and NOS Canadian Imperial for $18/50.
I rarely buy 1F anything unless it's something rare.

For common brass like the 30-06, 270 etc.
Once fired - $20 / 100
Once Fired tumbled and FL resized - $35 / 100
Once Fired tumbled FL resized and sorted by head stamp - $40+ / 100

Just speaking for myself here. The most I'd ever pay for fired brass is:

Federal/Winchester/Hornady and similar will be worth maybe 15-20 cents a piece if it's tumbled.

Norma, Nosler, Peterson, Sako, and similar. = more money, like maybe two to three times as much.

I see people selling 30-06 for much more than this, but I wonder how much they're actually getting offered for it, and how many people actually believe that it's really "once-fired" and not just range bucket brass.

Not saying yours is range bucket brass, ... lol.

Fair enough.
Thankfully I can definitely say it’s once’s fired as they’ve all come from my gun while hunting or at the range over the years.
Most if not all are Winchester or Federal, definitely not top shelf, but brass none the less.

As long as you can get Starline 30-06 brass for like $39.99 per 50, I'd value almost any once fired at way lower. Just zero interest in it.

Maybe 40 cents each, tops. If its like...Lapua lol. Otherwise, as said, 15 cents.

Was not impressed with Nosler brass in the past dunno why people pay a premium for it.

I may be a contrarian here, but I don't place a higher value on re-sized brass. I don't know how the person doing the resizing set up the dies.

Clean, yeah; a bit more attractive.

The bucket is where we leave all our tired old brass, some with loose primers
annealing 'may' bring it back somewhat, but I'd figure on 10% rejects for sure

A personal claim to authenticity of once-fired goes a long ways imo
de-primed and cleaned is bmp

Agreed. The seller's EE rating goes a long way for me.

To be clear, I wasn't accusing the OP of misrepresenting the condition of his brass. I was making general statements about the value / purchase of fired brass on sites like this.

Fresh brass is so cheap for calibers like 30-06 that I wouldn't buy some "1f" (who knows how many firings it ACTUALLY has) unless I knew the seller and could trust it is actually once-fired, and even then it better be cheap cheap.

Normally I'm only interested in "1f" if I can't find new brass for a decent price.
