First off, No this in not a 28 gauge. I have a SxS 12 gauge parker bros. The metal is in rough shape, with a lot of the bluing worn off and some small pitting on the exterior. The wood is in immaculate condition, and appears to be original. Both barrels are open choke and it is 2 3/4 chambers. the gun is fairly old, as the parker bros brand name is carved into the receiver by hand. Just wondering what Parker bros 12 gauges would usually go for. I have looked around and found no good information. Thanks

When I got my Parker shot gun I had asked the same questions and was directed to the Parker Brothers Forum http://parkerguns.org/ I joined the site and was given info and tips to find the history and ways to value the gun. Mine looks old and used (and it is) but it was made in 1910 and I have used to win turkeys at the turkey shoots and also use it for my shotgun in cowboy action shoots.
They are fine old guns.
