Hello
What is the value of previously fired 380 auto brass (RP and WW headstamps), appears to be in good shape?

Also, I have acquired some .40 S&W which has clearly been formed into .357 Sig. I read somewhere that this is NOT a good thing to do, as the case is slightly shorter than spec. Should I toss these in the 'brass recycle' bag, or what?

Thanks in advance.

Depends on the calibre, I'd say the .380 is worth 1/2 of new and the .40 slightly less than that just because it's more common.

50% of new brass price for the .380 sounds fair.

As you pointed out, .357 Sig is not necked down .40. Close but not the same.
They should be tossed.

weird, I shoot with someone who reloads 357 sig using 40cal brass. He hasn't had any problems with the gun, or accuracy.

.40 necked down to >357 sig will have a OAL that is just a bit too short, as 357 sig seats on the case mouth and not the shoulder this could lead to head space problems. I know a couple people that shoot it anyhow with no issue.

It's possible to get decent head spacing using the shoulder, but it requires effort.
