Hi,

I'm looking for help in pricing a 1956 Win Mod 94 in 32 spl cal.
Rifle is in good to very good condition (closer to vg) with only issues being someones family name electropenciled on the lever link. This rifle has seen very little use in the field and most of the finish is present.

Thanks for any help.

I thought pre 64 only meant something for the mod 70 but I see people list mod 94 as pre-64... Am I missing something or does this not matter very much..?

yes,, the "pre 64" prefix applies to the model 94 as well, and may even be more important for the lever gun. My father in law just got a .32 special from his brother and I could tell from 10 ft away it was post 64, it's the next thing to junk.

You are missing something.

1964, 1965 and 1966 were the worst years for Winchester products... then consumer reaction caused then to make some changes and they improved quality but pre 64 still has preference and guns made pre WWII has preference over pre 64...

Of all the cartridges the 32 Winchester probably has the least appeal to buyers.

As well as the stamped parts the blue on the receivers was poor and the inletting sub par. Things improved in the 70's but the damage was done as far as reputation goes. This is what happens to a fine gun company when accountants not gun people are running things.

pre- 64, nice gun with short wood on forstock value max 350- If long wood on forestock from 1950 back 400 to 450 in Mint condition.
And yes pre-64 is probably just as important in lever as bolt.

I have a pre 1964 Model 94 30/30 in good to great condition and i have mine priced at 475.00 the blueing is excellent , the bore is 100% and the stocks clear coat on the butt is just starting to chip off, This should be some indication of what your 32 is worth.

I sold a VG 1962 .32 sp on the EE for $400 shipped, and we were both happy with the deal...

Thanks to everyone for all the input on this one.

I`ll put it on the EE in a couple of weeks. This rifle is really in above average condition for it`s age as the finish is near perfect and all original except for where previous owner scratched his name in bold letters on the link plate forwards of the lever.

So now, all I have to do is find a buyer named "Winston" and charge him extra for the engraving.
