I have just acquired a pre 1964 Model 94 in .32 special its in very good condition. Iam second ownder it came form an old family friend. Less than one box of ammo through it. Very upstanding gentelman so I have no reason not to belive him. Serial number 2091### lnfo I found late 50's I think
I Have 1 box of the two he bought with the gun he can't find the box that has five missing. He bought the gun about 1957.

Just wonder what a value might be on such a rifile.

thx

Impossible to say without photos 350 low end 750-800 top end. If it is just an ordinary 20" 94 short rifle

Pre-64 only covers about 74 years of 94s, which one is it?
Long barrel, SRC, long wood carbine...then there's the condition.
A guy once told me he had a Rem30 in "real nice condition"
It didn't have an ounce of blueing left
So for an accurate answer to your question with-out any pics or description.
I strongly suggest between $50 & $1,000 seems fair :)

this how you get your post counts up?

His answer was reasonable given the information provided. I have a chevy pick up, what is it worth? More details = better answers.

Being around for bit but not too Knowldgable on older guns, I was looking for advise and help. If i want a jokes and child like comments I would go to a fourm that offerd such.

But anyway I will be posting photos shortly and that will help my cause then we will know just what it is that I have.

assuming it is a standard 94 in 70%-80% condition $400-$550 less condition less money .its all relevant if its a rifle 70%-80% $600-$800 less condition less money it will only matter if its a deluxe grade or a rare configuration which in 32 special would be rare indeed.

I agree, if you wish to give ser # I can tell you what year it left the factory as well.

If if you want jokes, and child like comments you have come to the correct spot indeed know need to look further. Just google Winchester Serial numbers and you can find out when it was made.

And you?
I guess this is one way of going about it.

On another note, it seems there is less of a following on the
32spec as the 30-30 unless it is of the rarer configurations and
in great untouched condition.
Collectors know how to tell what is what.
Win 38-55 is one to pm on this as he seems to amass some
beauties.

ball park, pre '64 94 in 32 spl, used, in nice clean shape, max $550ish. I bought a 1957 (same thing) from my buddy Doug, new, unfired, no box, won in a Hardware Store draw in '57 and stored by some old folks, for less, but then again, that's a buddy selling to a buddy! If it's rubbed, marked, bashed, bluing worn off, start deducting!

That is a short wood, standard short rifle, shotgun butt, made after 1955 in very good - excellent condition with sight hood (uncommon).

Value.............$5-600 CAD

Not rare but very nice condition.

I think it would sell for the $400 or so range. Great caliber, but like the Big Bore 94s a niche player to most. This one might not have been shot much, but it has been carried a bit by the look of it.

I was lucky enough to find a 1953 version in the EE. It was 90%+ condition and I believe I paid $700. (top dollar). I have also seen lots that were pretty worn cosmetically selling for $300. Yours appears about half way in between. You could ask any where from $450 to $550 and a knowledgeable buyer would narrow that price in to the correct range.

I just bought 300 of the new 321 calibre Hornady FTX bullets and 3 lbs of Leverevolution (sp?) powder. Can hardly wait to try that combo out.

I picked up a real clean, pristine bore (no way near a 90% though) 1950s 94 32 Special like yours for mid $500s shipped from Epps. It included a period steel Lyman 66A receiver sight and the original box. From your pictures the rifle was in slightly better condition and a steel Lyman is worth $100 or more. I shopped a bit and found the prices to range from $375 to $550 for anything I would buy. Above $550 was out of my range and the cheaper ones looked like they lived under the seat of a pickup.
