I have used my dad's 7600 lots of times, and I like the idea of a pump. I am now looking around for a gun of my own, and have come across a few remington pumps.
What's the value of a wood stock 7600. Are the older 760 worth any less?

The 760 is the older and some say better version , if you find one in good shape it would be worth the same as the 7600 in my opinion.

I have a 760 Carbine (shorter barrel) in 30. 06 and really like it .
I put on a synthetic stock and red dot and had it parkerized .

740 value should be same a 7600, should depend more on shape.
I've seen them as low as $400 & I've seen guys ask new price!
I'd like to find a 760 carbine in either 300S or 308, if anybody has one :)

760 and 7600 are NOT worth the same money. It depends on caliber and condition for the 760 for sure. There's some on EE right now for as low as $375. You should be able to get a nice 760 for $400-$450. I wouldn't pay any more than that. A 7600 is between $475-$575, maybe $600 depending on calibre, condition, and date of manufacture. Carbines are generally worth more as well. In my opinion, the 7600 is the superior rifle.

Have a few of both and it seems a 7600 will always sell for a bit more due to nicer wood and the better bolt/ lug design. That is unless the 760 is a diamond grade or rare caliper like 223 etc.
Lots on now in the 500 range not moving.

Guy at work wants to sell a .308 (not sure whether 760 or 7600) He's the 3rd owner (all of whom he knows and it has a combined 10 shots over the years (unsure of age)
-Gun
-Bausch Lomb 1-6 scope

-hard case

- $500 - what you all think?
