Value of this rifle??

bluefish check barrel on you 700 some of those 700 rifles in 7mm rem mag and 300win mag came with stainless steal barrels. might bring you a few more dollars to a 700 man
The older 700s are fine made rifles, the new remington sps are not even close to same workmanship, I wouldn't take a penny less than $700 for gun, you could scrap gun get
$500 to $600 for action, $150 for stock and $75 for barrel and sell trigger for $50
good luck

I just bought a new unfired BDL FOR $750.It also has the enhanced en-graving on the reciever. I own seven Model 700 BDL rifles .It is worth exactly what someone want to pay for it. I have paid right around $650 for some in mint cindition and sold some for about the same

I feel trades are the best way to get fair value for a firearm. You always have to take a loss when you sell guns. So if you get two guys with a firearm they don't need anymore but are looking for one they do need, they are basically getting full value if they trade.
Thats my way of looking at things. Sometimes when you want to trade, you have to have several guns you would be willing to trade for.
A guy I know recently traded a like new Benelli SBE for a Sako Vixen in .17 Rem. It came out to a wash almost.
Both parties happy.
I'd stay away from 3 1/2" guns. What can they really kill better than a 3"?
You also have to pay a premium for a well made 3 1/2" shotgun for the privledge of developing a flinch and paying too much for ammo.
