Value of Weatherby Mark V 300 Magnum

I would like to know, for a client, the (EE) value of a Weatherby Mark V 300 Magnum. The rifle appears to be in excellent condition.

The serial number is in the #P24### range.

Will depend somewhat on the model, Deluxe,Euromark,Lasermark, blah, blah, blah.

I'd say $1000 +/- given the limited information.

Ones with a "P" in the serial # are German and are worth a few more bucks. If it's a deluxe in 95% or better then maybe $1500

The German ones certainly should draw a premium over the japanese ones and i don't think $1200 or more is out of line for what you are getting. Non-Weatherby fans may not agree on this.

I have an early German Mk V in 300. Good gun, although the stock doesn't fit me that well. Still, I would expect to get at least $1200 for it, more if it was a more unusual model (which barrel profile, sights, etc). - dan
