Value of Winchester Model 70 carbine .223

Mike, like I said, I wasn't going to be buying it in the first place. You've got a rifle that isn't particularly desirable and a lower end name brand scope. If you can sell it for more, go ahead and do so. If someone wants to pay you a premium price because it's a Winchester with a Leupold on it then bully for you, but it doesn't change the reality of what it is.

LOL I guess you're right, a rifle or a scope isn't worth what it sells for, it's worth whats you say it is. I posted an honest question looking for advice and others and myself think your numbers were too low, fine. But you seem to be unhappy with this, and unable to let go. I may sell it, I may not. I'm realistic in what I have, and it's value will vary between people, as with any gun. AS I said, I appreciate everyone's input.

Looks like another end run around the EE and an attempt at an unofficial auction to the highest bidder... wish the mods would squash these threads. The posters never listen to the opinions anyway and half the time they get touchy and agitated by the valuations.

I've seen many suggestions here on gunnutz to post a thread to see what the values are. I wish the mods would deal with OT posts that only serve as personal attacks by posters that have nothing to add to a thread. Mosts of the posts have been helpful and look back to see who it was that got agitated first before you get on your soapbox.

Thank you everyone for the advice, as I said I might be posting the rifle for sale in the next few days if I can snag the item I'm trying to get money for. It seems like this string will be degrading down into arguments now so I'm not going to follow it anymore.

"Touchy"...yeah, that describes it.
