Value of WW2 303 Ball

yes there is demand! how much they are worth i dont know but they are definatly worth saving for collection or otherwise

I Picked up a box of the 303 ammo a couple years back at a local car swapmeet and wondered if it was colectable myself as there is a few different types of it maybe some one here could shed a little light on it for me as I am a newbe on the 303. I have 4 different bullet types, round point (1917) pointy tip (1943) hollow tip (1943) and hollow tip with looks like a brass nail inserted into the hollow tip??? (1943). I also have a bunch of live blanks that are dated from 1915 to 1943, were they used fo training???. Any info would be great as they look interesting compared to alot of ammo I have seen.

"...(1943) hollow tip...and hollow tip with looks like a brass nail..." That's not milsurp ammo. Milsurp brass reloaded with commercial bullets. A brass nail may be a 'bronze point' made by Remington. They do/did the same thing the current polymer tips, etc. do.

The brass or bronze head on the bullet tip is flat, like a nail was incerted into the end of a hollow tip bullet. The bullets are made of lead if that makes any difference.

I just bought 2 boxes of 48 canadian dac mk7 and 2 boxes of 50 SouthAfrican for $25 dollars a box. Half the price of comercial privi stuff seemed fair to me. I wouldent pay much more than that simply because I'm planning on shooting it not collecting it and the brass probably will not be reloadable.
