I have a line on a 1955 Model 70 in .270 win. Its functional but well used. Blueing is very worn, stock is solid but worn. Its been to a gunsmith to be checked over and cleaned up, its reportedly in good functional shape with a good bore. It comes with a one pice base and rings. I already have one so im thinking of picking this one up to make some money on. I know its hard to value it without pics but what do you think it would be worth to someone?

Opinions?
Thanks

Got Scooped. Some lucky SOB picked it up for $265 last night. LOL I guess thats what i get for hesitating.

you don't hesitate on a Pre'64 Model 70 for less than $350.....

reminds me of a friend of mine a couple years ago...he wanted another early walnut/blued floorplate type Rem 700 Mountain Rifle in 280 for his Dad,...he has one himelf...I offered to sell him one in better shape than his for the "good guy" price of $600....he hesitated and I sold it a week later for $650......he was pizzed when he asked if I still had it.....he was even more pizzed when I told him what I sold it for....you hesitate on good deals,..you lose.
