Hi,

i need to sell some rifles of my father. Could you help me finding an honest value so i can post it on the EE?

Parker hale safari in 308 W with bushnel sportview scope. Rifle is in good condition, nice bore. Stock show some wear but no cracks. 1 magazine and leather sling included.

Looks like the stock has a lot of finish loss on the buttstock and otherwise. I would suggest lots of good pics showing this wear and an appropriate low price in view of this.

Again 300-350. They are better than the new cheep stuff. The demand is lower than it should be. Strip and oil the stock, that will make it more desirable. Good luck.

In that shape it is a $200 rifle. A good refinish should bring it up to $450 if the rifle is in good condition other than the stock. It looks like water damage to the stock, and that raises questions about the rest of the gun.

I have the same rifle in 270, and like it a lot.

I came across and VG + condition one at the BC HACS last year for $350.

I would say under $300 for sure with the condition of the stock.

Doing a quick search I came across this for $400 on the Interweb.

That looks like an early one. I would consider them more valuable then the later DM versions. Good rifles generally, I like them. - dan

I think $200-$300 as suggested in earlier posts is not enough. Just the detachable mag alone was offered by WGP for $149 + shipping when I asked this spring. With the stock refinished it's an easy $450.
