Photos would REALLY help with this.
We need: (1) a photo of both rifles side by side, full length.
(2) a close-up of the "MA LITHGOW" marking on the one rifle
(3) a close-up of the same area of the other rifle.
(4) a close-up of the RIGHT side of the BUTT of the "LITHGOW" rifle
(5) a close-up of the RIGHT side of the butt of the second rifle
(6) a close-up of the LEFT side of the second rifle, right from the rear of the Bolt to the front of the Chamber, and including the LEFT side of the BUTT SOCKET (the "metal band around the grip")
You see, each and every one of those tiny little stampings has a MEANING. If we can see them, then we can help you. SOME .303s were made by the millions. OTHERS were made only in tiny numbers. Without the photos, we can't tell which yours are, so we can't give even a hint of their value.
I'll give you an example. A fairly nice old SMLE which has been sportered might fetch $150. A Lee-Speed express rifle by Purdey looks almost exactly the same.... but it's worth about 10 times as much.
SO....... you help us, we'll help you. We're gun collectors here, not psychics.
