I'm not up on shotgun values, so could you knowledgable shotgun people help me out.
1) Ithaca auto loader, Model XL300, full choke 12 gauge, in absolutely pristine condition. I suppose it has been fired, but but just like new.

2) Classic 12 gauge Remington 870 full choke, made in 1952, used a bit more than the Ithaca, but really good condition.
I can't class them the NRA method, but but virtually no wear on the bluing.

You are some mean on the wingmaster. A good wingmaster receiver alone will bring 200-225 any day of the week and he can sell the barrel for a min 100 if full choke to the boys that like to cut them down. If mod choke 125.
That is how I sold my last two vintage 12 ga ones and both sold on the ee in a few days.

A 1952 Wingmaster? They came out about then, didn't they? I'm sure that would be a superb shotgun. It may have limited versatility in today's market, but it would make a nice clays gun for sure, and more. Put a replacement barrel on it and you're hunting again with a modern barrel.

Yep 1950 1st ones. Quality parts in that old girl. I have a couple here of that vintage just put away for future projects.
Like you say install a 3" ejector, syn stock set,redo the bluing matt finish and an express barrel with choke tubes and you have one smooth chucking 870.

I could be low but it seems to me about 3 months back someone wanted a value on a early 60's wingmaster and I and another fellow said around the $300.00 mark. Everyone said we were crazy and a couple of guys said they would buy all kinds at $200.00 if we would sell them for them at $300.00. Now $200.00 is too low for an old full choke gun. Then I will go back to my original suggestion of $300.00 give or take.:bangHead:

I don't recall the post you mention. I find them hard to sell at 300 but easy to get 300 when you sell the receiver and barrel seperately . You look at the internals of that old full choked gun and compare them to what is in today's wingmaster then tell me how many you want.
I say again every complete vintage 870 12ga receiver will bring 200-225 any day of ther week alone. Barrel yes may take some time but always will sell for 80-100
There is a site sponser that grabs most of the receivers. I think he got my last two

I totally agree. Those old wingmasters are great old, sturdy guns. Yes, as far as selling, usually the sum of the parts sold out values the complete gun.
