Hi,
Could someone direct me to a gunsmith which is familiar with Sig's in the Greater Vancouver area, i need to have a couple of short triggers installed. Tried asking acouple of shops but they all said that it would have to be sent back to FN Sports:(, theres no way i am going to do that, heard of their return times. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello 604

Try Hunters Sporting goods in Surrey (604)-584-3006
ask for Brock I am sure he can help you out

Regards
Ed

Thanks guys, i will give both places a call. Too late for today.:( Just so that i will have a rough idea before i call, how much would something like this cost? A rough estimate would be great.

You should be able to do it yourself. There is an online SIG armorers manual floating around, or you can try the SIG forum for help. The biggest issue is getting the trigger and trigger bar to drop in, sometimes you need to hold your mouth just right. Make sure the hammer is not cocked and don't force anything.

Actually, i was thinking about doing it myself, it doesn't seem to be that hard, but i could be wrong. Just got to find that online SIG armorers manual. With your experience, are SIG's tricky to deal with? Cause thats the answer i got from 2 gunsmiths, they said they didn't want to touch it cause SIGs are tricky to deal with.:confused:
How much does TSE charge for this type of service?

You find out who is a true gunsmith when they won't change a trigger on a handgun.

I took one to a local guy here, and he said he'd never done one, but okay. He took it into his shop and came out ten minutes later all done.

Not that tricky I guess.

I did my own in about 20 min. If you get the armoures DVD it covers the short triger installation plus a whole lot more.
I thought it would only take 15-20 mins, thats why i found it so weird that it was so hard to find someone to do it. But for this time i'll have a gunsmith do it. But i would love to own an armorers DVD so i can do future mods or repairs myself. Where can i pick up a SIG armorers DVD??
