Vancouver Island Long Range Shooting -- Where?

I live in Victoria and shoot at the Victoria Fish and Game Club range. I enjoy this range, but max distance is 250 yards. Where on Vancouver Island can a person shoot longer distances -- 500 to 1000 yards?

Campbell river has a 600yrd.

The Cambell range is amazing. Beautiful, nice and quiet, simple but still great facilities. Bit of a drive though.

BCRA shoots in Nanaimo at the military range which is 600m, contact Gunnerlove on here or go to bcrifle.org

there are 2 back to back 600 yard matches planned for September, Yeomans is running on and I am running one the day prior, lots of time to sight in and lots of people to spot your hits on a 6 foot round saw blade before moving to your own targets/sighters, feel free to PM me for details.

We shoot in CR every month and have guys from Victoria travel up every month, car pooling may be an option
