Just as the title says, looking to get into CAS, What do i need to know as far as restrictions, calibers, licenses and courses. I have my PAL but keep seeing Black badge as well.
Basic newbie knowledge for a CAS begginer.

I have a 12 gauge SxS and am looking to get a winchester repeater or a marlin 1895c 30" barrel.

What is a good middle of the road Revolver that would use the same ammo as my winchester repeater.

Lots of questions on my end, Thanks for the help guys!

The Black Badge refers to a holster certification course which is necessary to shoot in some action shooting sports. If you have any interest in running around with gun and ammo strapped to your waist shooting fun and challenging courses of fire than check it out. If you have any more questions about upcomming Black Badge courses or pistol shooting PM or post any questions you may have.

WE doint need NO stinking badges!
we do need two single action revolvers, 357 mag.Pietta or rugers are choices.
Rifle 357 mag, winchester 73 or marlin carbine maybe winchester 92 only a win 94 if it is half price as you will sell it soon after useing it. Must hold 10 rounds in the tube.
You do not have to Join SASS ,save the coin for ammo.
SxS choped off to 20 to 24 inchs , no choke needed, winchester low noise low recoil factory ammo or what is cheap and light . 7.5 shot works.
There is a RO. range orenation course , just read up at the SASS sight and go to a match ,talk up the locals , they will have tons of older used crap to sell to a new guy.
Do not piss your money away till you go and see if you can afford the 5000 dollars it is gonna cost you and you really want in .

Honestly, don't buy anymore guns until you go to the SASS web site. Read the rule book for SASS, it is very specific about the firearms and leather that are required by various classes. Club matches aren't really that specific about the guns required but if you get involved with SASS matches, they can be very specific at times.
