Got out to the range this morning, with the 257 wby.
More than satisfied with the rifle out of teh Box.
I loaded some 100 gr Interblocks to see how the gun would shoot with IMR 4831
The 100 gr interlocks shot respectful at a lower velocity as I crept up near max the load fell off from 1.3s to 1.7,, 3 shot goups.
After 12 shots I took a break and wne tinto warm up.
My second load was a Barnes TSX 100 gr loaded on the up side of pressures..
As the velocity climbed the gun cam into its own and shot well.
This Vangaurd is an honest MOA , or sub MOA rfle, I am sold.
The velocity screamed into the low 3600 fps with teh 100 gr tsx as it cut a nice clover leaf for 3 shots.
That was out of the box...
