Varget Powder - who has best deal right now?

What quantities? That makes a big difference.

For powder most online retailers are going to have to charge the ~$50 Hazmat fee (which the courier gets) and that makes a difference too.

Are you close to Higginson? I've always found their prices to be the best.

Wait for 20% off at Cabelas if you have one close. I back ordered an 8lb jug last time it was on sale. It was around $300 with both taxes in BC. H4350 was the same price. Took a month to get it, but You might get lucky and find it in stock.

If you can get out to Ancaster, Hummason usually has the best prices on powder. Check their website and call ahead before you want to pick up.

Nope, 8lb tubs are out of stock right now but I tried it with another 8lb tub.

But they ship ammo free - what's the difference?

I believe they have different UN Classifications. Ammunition is 1.4s and I believe gunpowder is 1.1. That may be why but I'm not positive.

As much as I love Varget, keep an eye out for Canam's D4064 (IMR)..$260 for 10lbs and free shipping. I've had just as good of results with it as Varget. They have been out for a while however...

they have been out for so long I doubt we will see anything close to those prices again.
