Hey guys-my main varmint rifle wears a big Sightron SIII that tops-out @ 20X, 30mm tube, etc. More scope than I need looking forward, and there aren't Sightron options in the SIII that top-out 16X-18X.

Probably only shooting out to about 200 yards most of the time, 300 would be reaching but I may target shoot out that far. Not the primary purpose. Varmint hunting is (centerfire) and being honest most shots are probably in the 75-150 range. I do want to confirm small targets out to 2-3, so no 9X-10X options will suffice.

I prefer 1" tubes but once had a VX-3 with a 1" tube and 40mm obj. and that felt like tunnel vision. Don't love 30mm tubes, but even my 1" Burris is brighter than that VX-3 seemed to be.

What am I missing/what would you guys suggest? If it's a 30mm tube I'd like it to be matte/low turrets and a reticle I have to love.

Drawing a complete blank this morning...back to Burris something or other?

Your budget will narrow down the possibilities! Will you be dialing or just using the reticle for holdover and wind? SFP or FFP reticle. If your centerfire is fast then a simple reticle will probably work out to your distances described. I like having lots of magnification. Dont have to use it but nice to have if required. Im in the process of changing some of my optics. Selling a few and buying a few to replace what I sell. Theres a huge selection thats available anymore with many new companies popping up since the popularity of PRS style shooting has taken off.

Why do you want a diff scope ? And I don't 'see' a 20X on the sightron site. I have a Vortex 6.5-20x BDC that's within your specs but I'd be going 'bigger' instead of smaller. My Vortex i just on an x39-Ranch so only a 150-200 rifle anyway.

I’m really liking the NF SHV’s with capped turrets. I have 2 3-10x42 with the MOAR reticle and 1 with the 4.5_14x56 MOAR reticle all are great scopes. Shoot a 3 shot group in 100 yard increments out to as far as you will ever be shooting and measure your drop in moa. Walla you have a very accurate drop chart.

=correct, it's a 6-24X

No budget in mind guys, sort of wanting a good...uncomplicated option. Not tethered to any particular budget but want to feel the solution fits.
