What is the highest power scope without having an adjustable objective, it would be going on a 22-250 a 4 x 12 x 40 is biggest I know of.

Leupold has the VXIII scope in 4.5-14x40mm available without AO. However, I like the AO feature if you are sighting your gun in at various distances. You can adjust the cross hairs until they are clear at any distance.

At a basic level the AO will focus the target, the adjustable eyepiece will focus the crosshairs.

The side focus IS the AO.

As said above, the side focus is an adjustable objective, its just on the side instead of on the front bell housing. You can get a 12-42 if you go sidefocus. Kinda pricy cause I am talking nightforce, but you can get a 6-24 in a multitude of price ranges.
