Looking at buying a new rifle for varmint/target use and a deer or two :D. The rifle will be chambered for the 25-06.

Having a bit of a hard time deciding on what brand to go with and would like your opinnion buy, Ruger, Remington, ect, ect, ect.

There seems to be a lot of supporters of the TIKA T3. I like my Winchesters and Rugers as far as a bolt action is concerned. Saying that I am going to look at a Kimber this year.
The 25-06 is a real nice cartridge, I reload it for a friend.

Get to a gun shop and start handling rifles... you can't go wrong with a Weatherby Vanguard, Tikka T3, Savage 116, Remington 700... they are all good rifles... the Savage probably is the best bang for your buck.

Simplest solution is to buy one of each make tey them out and keep the one you like. Sell the rest on EE at an inflated price, use the profit to buy something nice for your self. You can gain a lot of airmiles on your credit card this way. :D

I bought a Howa 1500 with tan Hough stock in 25-06, it is my third Howa. Yesterday it shot two under 1" groups with the 120 Hornady 120H.P. 54.0 grains H4831 at 300 meters. It is equally accurate with the 100 S.P. All of my Howa's are super accurate guns, I highly recomend them. It is nice to pay under 600 for a rifle that will out shoot many custom guns costing four times as much.

I think Ruger has a varmint model with a laminate stock and a 2 stage trigger. If your price range includes Cooper, I would look there.

Under 1/3 MOA is pretty impressive, Olympic level shooting at 300 meters. I am assuming that the groups were more than one round each... :D
