After some more load development I took the 7x57 out for a stroll in pursuit of some varmints.:) First shot of the day was 125 yards on a rabbit sitting in the grass on an overgrown road. All I could see was the ears and his eye above the level of the grass so I aimed at his eye and squeezed. 44 grains of IMR 4895 under a 139 Hornady and with the Harris bi-pod it makes the rifle very steady.:) The guy that gets the rabbits is going to have to buy me a box of bullets one day.:p

7x57

I should have mentioned they were 139 grain Hornady Interlock bullets.....headshots on varmints leave everything but the head. and not much else if you hit the body.:p
The next to be tried will be the 120 grain V-Max and 120 grain Hollow Point :D
