Varner .22 favorite

I seem to remember a write up on this ''retro favorite'' years ago,but never actually saw one.They were supposed to be finely finished rifle.Has anyone actually owned or shot one?

I googled the name ''Varner''and came up with the website and contact information-I understand they hadbeen out of production some time ago, but seem to have resumed with the target of 50 per month by year end.Prices start at $399 .AsI recall,they were a very high quality 22, considerably better than the current ''favourite''offering
