The inside of my A5 forend (forearm) appears unfinished.
I sanded it just a tiny bit in the barrel channel to try avoid rubbing on the barrel in a few spots where I noticed the bluing had rubbed off when I got the shotgun in November.
I hunt a lot in the rain and I was wondering if there would be a benefit to varnish the inside of it to keep water from getting absorbed into the wood.
