Hey

I own a restricted Vector Gen 2 9mm. And I enjoy it.
I'm planning to buy a Res. GHM9.

How does the GHM9 compare to the vector?
From what I've heard B&T make very good guns is this true?

Cheers,

Hi,

I had a 9mm Vector (sold it a few years ago and have a B&T SPC9 which is kinda like the GHM9) and the B&T was a big step forward.

Fit / finish / feel / quality are all a step up. Reliability is light years better than almost all the PCCs on the market (only possible exception is the Ruger, I think they run pretty well). As I see it B&T are kinda like the Lexus of PCCs (very well thought out & functional, kinda stylish but understated and VERY reliable).

The downsides, they are expensive and they more niche than say an AR15 type rig so options are more limited (triggers for sure).

I'd be astonished if the GHM9 didnt impress you.

Damn, I was hoping someone was going to tell me that it was overrated. Now I have to buy one. HAHA

Thanks for the info.

The B&T's are the best quality PCCs in Canada, full stop. Now if you are looking for aftermarket personalization for them, well that's gonna set you back a bag of dough. Parts are damn straight expensive (ie; stock adaptors, hand guards, metal lower receiver...etc)

I have a Ruger PC9 Tactical and have been shooting it for the past two years. It shoots like a breeze, a work horse, recoil is barely recognizable. I had a However, the only drawback is that it's hefty and on the heavier side.
After a long research, I bought a B&T GHM9 8.9" last week. The feedback and reviews on it are very positive. It weighs almost half of what a Ruger does and feels great in hand. G4C in Markham just received a new B&T delivery of various options and barrel lengths. I recommend to check them out while the stock lasts as the second hand ones offered on various platforms are priced higher than a new one.

I got a GHM9 compact on a consignment last year since nobody had any in stock and I love it. I had originally wanted a longer barrel and was going to go to G4C to check out the 8.9 they had (first one I have ever seen advertised), but it sold the next day probably to Lucky Luke.
For a 4.3" barrel the compact is very accurate and easy to handle. Currently close to 2000 rounds through it without a single failure or problem.

Yep, I did get the 8.9" one. I ran the next day it was online. I don't understand, if this model is in such a high demand why can't they just order a dozen at least.

~9" to 10" is the sweet spot for PCCs I reckon (yes, the jokes pretty much write themselves)

the actual sweet spot for PCC's is 12.5" with a 2" comp. Maintains accuracy at longer distances while maximizing the effect of the muzzle device. 10" is pretty close to it, but after that you will see your groups open up at longer distances.
