I was fortunate enough to be in Las Vegas last weekend for the Antique Arms and custom knife show. This was my first time at a show of that magnitude, and Wow, I couldn't even imagine that many fine antiques in one room, a very big room. It was held in the convention center at the Riveira Hotel, and the catalogue listed around 500 exhibitors. My friend (who attended with me ) and I estimate between 1200 and 1500 tables. We got to handle everything from Walker Colts to 16th century matchlocks with price tags that were out of sight for most average folks. There were a lot of SAA Colts, some of which weren't priced too badly, I guess due to the huge numbers of them on display. Lots of fine old flint rifles both military and civilian, as well as flint pistols of every description.
The custom knife show was much smaller but full of great stuff as well ,and I got to meet some ichons of the custom knife world, Ed Fowler, Doc Hagen, and Gill Hibben for example.
I heartily recommend this show to anyone who loves old guns in any shape or form, but there's so much to take in you need the full three days to see it all.
