Hey S&J...

I use DSCs for every shotgun I own and have loved them so far. I just bought a 870 Police and am having an issue I've never had before where the velcro backing is not staying stuck to the gun. I assume it has something to do with the finish because on the 870 Express and the blued 500s, it sticks very very well.

Have you guys come across this before? Do you have any suggestions? And I did make sure the surface was clean, rubbed with alcohol, and dry first. Again, I'm thinking it has something to do with the 870 Police finish. I am down to my last velcro backer so wanted to run it by you before I tried again lol.

Thanks,
Sam

No have not seen thst happen I think we have sold somwhere around 5000 of thrm over the last 10yrs maybe more.
Is the belt stippling you have had th white bacling paper or the clear wirh velcro written on it

The white paper backing but the last one I have left is the clear plastic.. will give it one more try.

And like I said, I have had these on at least 5 other shotguns with no issues so I know it is a good product!

The one with the clean backing is much better
So clean then apply thr velcro and leave for a few hours let the bonding take

I had the same thing happen with the clear backed Velcro that came with my S&J shell cards on my new 870 express, it was me not degreaseing the receiver properly and not the Velcro. I just put a new strip on of the same Velcro but I really spent the time and cleaned the oil off the gun, it’s on there good now. No lifting of the adhesive, I used varsol then isopropyl alcohol to clean with. Dried well and repeated before I stuck the new strip on.

Still didn't work but apparently you can buy industrial strength hook/loop strips at WalMart that absolutely stick to anything so should be an easy fix!

Thanks and take care.
