If a kit gun comes with a stamped barell, with both calibre and a serial number, then why does the cfc require that I have it verified.? PS if anybody is or knows of a verifier in my area could you please let me know. Thanks SS

Because until it is assembled completely(in your case of a BP rifle with a lock), it is not considered a complete firearm and thereforecannot be registered as one....if you phone CFC, they will give you several names of verifiers in your are as well....

Because the first rule of liberal gun control is that gun owner's can't be trusted. You have to be an official quisling before they will believe anything you say. All that crap about registration before was just to find a way to justify spending the money. But now they have more Black & Decker glue guns registered then B&D ever made, and the RCMP firearms experts are looking a little stupid trying to build a forensics database on glue guns.

If your kit gun is a long barreled flinter, stop talking to the CFC. Now.
