Versa Max magazine plug

I can't buy a mag plug for my Versamax 12ga locally so can anyone tell me what length it has to be so I can make one my self.Thanks

It's just a straight piece of plastic with rounded edges. No nail head on it like some other brands/plugs. You could make one from 3/8 or half inch dowel. My factory plug is 2 and 15/16 inches long but I'm sure 3 inches would work just as good.

I made mine from Delrin and wood dowels .... and just cut them to the length that I needed so that only 2 shells would fit into the tube .....

Step one take two 3” rounds lay along the length of the mag tube measure remaining distance to cap dnd of mag tube cut dowel as needed

My dad's 16 ga Remington pump has a piece of willow stick, just cut off to length. Don't have to be fancy.
