Hey guys-got this gun a few years back, and other than a trip to Tactical Ordnance for some upgrades (performance, not tactical)..it's only been out of the house a few times. Performs FLAWLESSLY, but like any of the Sportsmans I've held, there is some play in the forend. (they feel loose on these guns) Again, ZERO issues performance-wise, but it's probably the only thing I'd like to address with the gun. While I don't like the look of them that much, I used to have a Hogue forend on my 870P and that thing just felt right, so it lived on that gun. Made me wish Hogue made a stock set for the VM.

Wondering if any of you know whether or not an aftermarket forend exists for these guns, or, a modification that makes it feel/be tighter? is this an issue with the SPORTSMAN model only, or, are the ones higher-up on the $ scale better?

Thanks for taking a moment to reply.

I picked up a walnut set of furniture from Boyds and the forend was extremely tight fitting. Stumbled across your post looking for aftermarket forends for the R12, to get away from the Rem-Lok lol.
