Just picked up a Versamax tactical for action shooting. Oh don't worry the fuds at the skeet club will get to see it as well.


Its only 5+1 and the magtube is blocked at 5 3 inch shells and only 5- 2 3/4 fit in the mag. I think I will get a new magtube pinned to only take 5 inch shells but hopefully it will hold 6-2 3/4 shells. Great gun shooting heavy loads I haven't tried one ounce target loads yet.

Just get the correct length mag extension from Tactical Ordnance.

I got one of these beauties about 4 months ago just have to grind the lip in the mag tube so that the follower can pass it.but note!!!! You will then have to put a plug in it or you can put like 8 3"in it. 6 2 3/4 will fit easy!!!!!


if your allowed to have it loaded and ready you can put 6
in mag one in chamber and ghost load one and you have a magic 8

^^^By grinding out the lip in the mag tube, you have just turned it into a piece of junk that is going to break at that seam. Nordic did this so that to weaken the tube. Like mebiuspower said, just get the correct one from Tac-Ord and be done with it. It's only a matter of time before the tube will split in half if the internal rib has been removed.

I have a mag extension coming and I will need to plug or pin it. Right now just horsing around the damn thing is so much fun. I loaded it up and let me buddies shoot 7 shells and then comes the giggles when they do it fast.

Pure hoser shotgun stages are pretty sweet. The American Open shooters get to run this without reloading, everyone else has to reload once.
