I located a nice walnut Canadian buttstock and a walnut cheeckpiece ( newly made right here in Ontario ) for my '43 Longbranch so I can scope it out. Put final finish and BLO to the cheekpiece and a fresh rub to the buttstock.
It takes all of 10min to take off the original butt and sights and transform my favorite rifle and still keep the rifle's originality .
All I need now is for the 'skeeters to die off so I won't get chewed up at my range ...
