I thought I should share my bad experience with dealer/importer service of my Rossi M92 carbine. Based on my experience, Rossi and Gravel Agency do not deserve Canadian customers business!

My rifle is a few years old, and has developed a problem with the loading gate popping out of the recess it's supposed to fit in. Looks like a new loading gate is the best solution. So I wrote to a couple dealers. They said they can't get parts. Try the importer.

So I wrote Snap Shots in QC, where I had bought Rossi parts in the past. They said they are unable to get Rossi parts. Try the importer, Gravel Agencies.

So I wrote Gravel. They sent me back a warranty claim form. I replied and said the rifle is more than one year old, I did not need warranty I needed to purchase parts. they refused, said they are only authorized by Rossi to install parts on warranty and they cannot sell parts.

Don't buy a Rossi firearm! at some point it will become useless because you can't maintain it. Unbelievably bad customer support. See below......

Hello Guy
We do not sell Rossi parts we only bring in parts for guns still under warranty.
You will have to find parts elsewhere, try Western Gun Parts in Edmonton 780 489 5711

Subject: Re: Rossi M92 parts

hello June
The firearm is a few years old. I am not looking for Warranty Service, but simply to purchase this part for repairs. I do not intend to send the rifle to your shop, it is a simple, easy replacement that I can do on my own. But I need to be able to buy the part. As the Canadian importer you are the sole source of parts as far as I know. Will you sell me this part?
Sincerely,

Hello Guy
When did you purchase the firearm, we provide parts only for guns still under warranty. If you purchased is within the last 12 months and have a bill of sale complete the form attached.

Did you try the repair angle outside the warranty ? I know it suck to send the gun in, but if they do repair them outside warranty at least you get a functional gun.

Can you get the part from Rossi USA..just another idea…
Did you try Marstar ?

Or direct Rossi..email and contact form on their web site

https://www.rossiarms.com/iletisim

Very unusual for the loading gate to pop out..it oversized bigger than the port.

Steve's Guns will not ship to Canada, as per a personal email I received from Steve himself. No loading gates are for sale on Bay. Rossi USA does not sell repair parts, they sell a select few parts as add-on and upgrade items, but not the full parts list.

If its a 92 copy would parts from a different 92 copy fit, or be made to fit?

I was really thinking about buying a 92 in 357 or 44, and the Rossi prices are hard to ignore but this lack of parts support is no Bueno.

Sounds like they should rename themselves to the customer disservice department. Worse than a frickin Tesla service experience.

Try direct Rossi… since it is a 1892..a Uberti loading gate is most likely to fit……Taylor ship to Canada.
