Very good 30-06 load in my ICON.

I have a T/C Icon, chambered in 30-06. I acquired it about 6 months ago, but had no time
to really work on a load for it.

Decided to use the 165 grain Nosler Accubond and Superformance powder.

Worked up, starting at 59.0 grains, and the groups tightened right up at 62.0
Just under moa.

No indications of excess pressure, even at 63.5 grains, but best groups at
62 grains. [Caution!! if trying this powder, please work up from below safely]

Ran the 62 grain load across my chronograph: 2996, 2992, 3002; 2997, 3000.
Chronograph at 15 feet.

I'm thinking this is a serious hunting load. Dave.

This looks great Dave. Have you tried Staball 6.5 with 165 grains bullets in the 30-06?

Have not tried Sta-Ball because I only have a small amount,
and it works so good in my 260 Remington that I have been
saving it for that. Dave.
