I have a Norinco AR-15. The trigger seemed okay at first, but now it feels very heavy. I have a couple of other AR's and the trigger feel smooth and crisp by comparison. Sometimes the Norinco trigger is so heavy and gritty you could stop the pull half-way and the trigger won't move or after you pull the trigger you might have to push it forward to reset. The pull feels like it's 10-15 lbs although I haven't be able to measure it. Anybody have any idea what caused this? I've seen this once before believe it or not on a stock C7A2. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Cheers!

Buy a milspec trigger off the ee and swap it out, with the amount of guys running fancy triggers I'm sure people have a drawer full of the milspec ones.

Try cleaning it, might be as simple as some grit in there. If you're slightly adventurous, look on you tube for videos about how to polish it. Its not hard at all, I've done it and had good results.

I'd suggest popping out the pins and removing it... you can then check it over and clean it up. Not hard to remove and reinstall.

This....Sometimes a blown primer get into the trigger mechanism and causes to either block the trigger completely or partially. If it worked before, it's probably something like this.

pop the pins ,take it out and clean it. reinstall . Then start shopping for a geissele ssa-e or if that hurts the wallet head over to arms east and grab an alg defense qms or act

Take it apart and clean it.
If it worked fine before it's gummed up with something or has a blown primer stuck in it.
Shooting cheap dirty ammo can cause problems like this, if you're uncomfortable taking the trigger out just blast it with brake cleaner and inspect it for debris before putting a couple drops of oil on it and testing it again.

If you want to change it out go for it but it's probably not needed if you're ok with a milspec trigger. There's probably nothing wrong with what you have for general blasting, it just needs a little maintenance.
