I was struggling a bit with my Hornady auto-charge scale and spending a lot of time on the beam scale so I started looking up new scales... Ended up taking a flyer on the Vevor analytic balance (100g) - says it is good to 0.0001g (around .0015gn). For the price I was not expecting it to meet the spec, but even if it was off a decimal it would be good enough for what I need. I have not run a full test on it yet- but was I can say is it easily picks out the difference in weight for single kernels of IMR 4166. The kernels seem to weigh around 0.030gn but go 0.025 to 0.035gn in the ones I was messing with. It is repeatable too- drop a kernel back in and get the same number.
I'm really blown away by this thing even without a proper warmup/calibration/test- I just pulled it out of the box and started messing around. $300 is still a chunk of coin but for something that easily resolves a kernel of rifle powder I'm very much blown away.
Only downside is it doesn't measure in grains- so using grams and converting- but not a big deal for me.
