very quick 30-06 target rifle ammo selection question

Hi all,

Just got a Winchester 670 in 30-06. It has been a hunting rifle the whole time. I am not a hunter, so I would like to use it around 200 - 500 yard mark for target precision. Never had a 30-06 before. maybe make the 300 yard mark the standard.

Just wondering which ammo would be a great to start with as I become accustomed to it. New in boxes for now.

Personally, I don't know much about the 670. I have been playing with the 30-06 for a couple of years now. I did try a box of factory Winchester when I first got a Savage 111. It was not a good purchase for me. Only four rounds out of the twenty would chamber for me. I had to pull the bullets and trim the cases before they would work in my rifle.

As for any other brands, maybe someone else will have recommendations. As for me, I will continue to hand load.
