Vickers 22

Great little rifles, I always seem to miss out on them, lots of TA units had them for smallbore practise and they were destroyed or written off!

yes, i did see/ find that website.
mine is missing the rear adjustment knobss on the site. the stock has been repaired through the wrist aswell. other than that it looks pritty good. very iteresting gun. it also has the "perfection" rear peep, but i cant make it move up and down. seems to be locked up

Ok see the eye piece? Slacken that a turn to the left and the elevation drum should move. If not soak in something like WD40!
edited to add, if your elevation drum is missing there should be a stud on the left side that needs pushing in! take pictures and I'll ask about whats missing at the next club meeting.

Fantastic rifles, 200 yard .22 rimfires for sure.

I saw one at a local gunshow a few months back, but the guy wanted quite abit for it's condition IMHO, and it was of course missing the sights.

If I ever went to the UK to visit, I'd be looking for one of them to bring back. :)

Ok looking at the rear sight you are not missing the elevation drum. The release stud onthe left is pressed and stuck in. Theeye piece is missing or not shown, if the parker eyepieces fit (no reason they shouldnt) then you are on to a winner. E mail the pics, I'll look at them and see what I can do.

its way way to short for me aswell, but i couldnt pass it by.Chriss talked me into it 50%

got the site figured out, and it works fine now, thanks TimC

tore it down, rubbed down the stock, cleaned it up, and its a beuty now.
seems to shoot allright. hear is a pic of 10 rounds at 50yds standing. im not as good with the peep as i used to be, but its not to bad. federal classic ammo.
