Vickers VCAS of magpul MS3

I tried my MS3 on my XCR and i have to say the gun is a little heavy and a little too long for the MS3. I have a padded VCAS on it and its absolutely awesome. There is an extra part ( I'm not sure what its called) that will allow conversion of 1 point to 2 point. Honestly the gun is a little long for a single point, but if it works for you it works for you. On a side note, i run the MS3 on my 858 and i love it on that gun purely because its considerably lighter.

I liked the padding in the Blue Force Gear padded Vickers but the mounting points of the MS3, so I made a frankensling.

I used to run an MS2 sling and found that my AR hung too low, on a 16", so I switched to the VCAS (this was also after trying the VTAC sling from Viking Tactics) and the VCAS is way superior to the VTAC, and for anything other than an SBR/PDW, a single point sling doesn't quite work well (IMO at least). The construction of the VCAS is way better as well. My next sling will be the padded version.

I think you're referring to the triglide, maybe.

You can see how it's set up here:

+1 blue force.
I have one on my xcr and love it.
single point slings on long rifles have a great, and documented tendency to sack you like a wayward wrecking ball for your junk.

not to mention the minute you move around/crouch mud will rapidly fill your muzzle.

I use the MS3 and like it.I used it for hunting season and it worked well with a single point, my only complaint was the clasp is hard to work with gloves on.

I have not had experience with the others.

I was wondering this as well. From all the pictures it doesn't look like it comes with any hardware

The way it comes it will fit straight onto a C7A2, C8, M4 and a few others.

As long as you have a sling loop on the front and back, or a collapsible stock, then the Vickers will fit right on.

If you want to run it hooked up with Push Buttons, Sling Swivels or MASH hooks then you need to add them onto an order.

If you're running a Sig, HK, 870 etc then one or two of the adaptors or attachment methods would be needed.

There is also the fixed buttstock adaptor if you have a C7/ fixed buttstock.

What kinda attachment hardware does the vickers come with?

I have a medic model, it did not come with anything, so I bought one of these:

and use a basic uncle mikes h&k style clip for attaching the back to my xcr.

I did the best of both worlds......took the hardware from the MS3 and re-sewed my padded VCAS with the MS3 hardware...Love it!

The VCAS looks pretty slick. I see it comes with different "Adjuster" options.
Alum or Acetal, what would be the advantaged to one or the other ?

They videos posted on the Oneshot site seems a bit silly to me, the only thing about the sling they show off for the most part is it's ambi ability.

The Acetal runs a little faster and is less expensive.

The Aluminium is stronger.

That said though the Acetal version is issued to the Marine Corp. Also we have sold thousands of the Acetal version and never had one come back.

The Blue Force Gear VCAS slings are:

Made in Pooler Georgia, not China

Are solution washed (IR Compliant) which also makes the nylon softer, not like seatbelt webbing used on other slings, so it won't rub your neck raw.

Foam used in the Padded version is closed cell, so it doesn't soak up water like other slings.

Modular and Ambi.

Issued sling of the RCMP, Marine Corp, Dutch Army and a number of other units/agencies.

Not only will BFG warranty them but I will as well, so if you have an issue, you'll be looked after.
