Here's a pic of "The good guys" uniforms/accoutrements. Sort of my family tree 3 generations, out of 4 in army service. A few original family items but most bought over the years. Not everything appears historically correct, but it is. The bandoleir on the battledress is between the wars dated, and the belt/holster are 1941 dated and given to my Father In Law in the 50's in Eygpt by a fellow senior Brit Desert Rat who claimed he used it to drag a wounded mate in 42 while under fire.
I. WWI Canadian Army and my Great Grandfathers medals.
II. WWII, pictures in France, and medals of my Grandfather. Also that flag landed on the beaches of Normandy June 6th 1944 at 08:30 hrs with the 12th Field Artillery in my Grandfather's Bren Carrier. That is backed up by his unit book seen in this pic. Lots of oil/blood stains on that cotton! He was Recce for 11 months straight.
III. My ensemble and items Canadian Army Reg/Reserve.
I have more family items to the display and more to buy over time. Maybe next time there will be some bangsticks too.
