Victrix Armament Gladius TGT in .260

You'd have to be a special breed of tard to spend $14k on that, lol.

At least he took the time to explain it's a muzzle break, not a suppressor...….cause people don't know the difference

I shot that rifle and it is accurate.
But... at $14K, it's a luxury with performance that can be matched easily for 1/3 of the price.

They had a booth at Meaford did they not?

Yes they did.

So I'm shooting this rifle knowing that to my right is the Cadex booth and thinking I can get three of those for the price of one of these.

Nice rifle, but not that nice, so I bought a Cadex.... and a car for my daughter.

The thing these days though is that good "raw" accuracy is pretty common. I am lucky enough to get to test out rifles. I got to play with a new Cadex R7 comp and now I have a KRG SOTIC for a bit. Both guns are pretty much going to shoot lights out. Tikkas and Howas will probably shoot half minute with some good load dev and a good driver. My AX and Customs do shoot better than that (.25 - .4MOA) but it really isnt about accuracy IMO. The higher end stuff have other factors that make them worth the $$$.

Whether spending that much is worth it is up to the individual though.

I got a new Cadex rifle about 3 weeks ago and have taken it to the range starting some ladder testing.

Almost every group was under 1/2 MOA on the first range day using Berger 155.5s and from 41.5 to 45.5 grains of Varget... Best 3 round groups was 0.224, worst was 0.554" at 100 meters

This past weekend I started with 175 Bergers with 41 and 42 grains of varget. Both groups 5 round groups were under 3/8" at 100 meters. The first 4 of the shots at 41 grains were inside 0.1".

I also tried 155 SMKs and most groups were around 3/8" at 100 meters with best group just under 1/4".

BTW conditions were quite blustery this past weekend.

What was interesting was the center of the groups with 155.5 bergers all hit at the same location regardless of the powder charge anywhere between 41.5 and 45.5 grains of powder. I've never seen a rifle hold the same POI over such a wide velocity range.

That wont set any records for 100 yard bench rest, but for an out of the box tactical rifle intended for PRS I'm quite comfortable with it.

I don't want to Bash the Victrix, but how much "better" could it possibly be?
